Fragrance Family and Atmosphere
It sits in the floral?amber category. There’s warmth, sweetness, spice, and resinous depth. It isn’t purely a floral or fruity scent—it mixes richness and gourmand touches with classic oriental and woody foundations.

Note Structure

• Top notes: Pear, Hazelnut, Frankincense — sets a sweet, slightly resinous, nutty?fruit opening.

• Heart (middle): Saffron, Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Osmanthus — the heart is spicy, floral and rich; the florals are heavy but balanced by spice

• Base notes: Cistus (labdanum/cistus resin), Sandalwood, Akigalawood, Ambergris, Vanilla — gives the dry?down a creamy, woody, resinous, slightly animalic touch, with sweetness from vanilla.

Scent Evolution and Feel
Initially, Guidance feels lush and inviting: fruit above resins, with a touch of sweetness and warmth. The hazelnut adds a subtle nuttiness, while frankincense contributes incense?like depth. In the heart, the florals (especially rose + jasmine sambac) become more prominent, softened and enhanced by saffron and osmanthus. Finally, the base becomes richer and more sensual: creamy woods, ambergris, and vanilla settling things into a lasting, luxurious dry?down with gentle animalic/resinous touches. The overall feel is sophisticated, enveloping, and rather grand.

Longevity and Projection
Guidance is reportedly strong in both longevity and projection, especially in early hours. It tends to project well out of the gate (fruit + resin + spice), then gradually becomes more intimate as woods take over. Many users find it very noticeable and long?lasting.

Best Use / When It Shines
Best suited to evenings, special occasions, cooler weather—fall and winter come out best because the warmth, resins, and sweet/woody base feel more comfortable then. It can work during day in cooler climates or air?conditioned spaces if you like richer scents. Because it’s bold, layering or lighter application helps for more casual settings.

Character and Vibe
Guidance feels majestic, elegant, deep, and unapologetically luxurious. There’s a romantic, almost poetic streak: you sense craftsmanship, richness, complexity. It gives a strong impression—something that announces itself without shouting, and lingers in memory. It can be polarizing (people either love the richness, or find it too much), but that’s part of its charm.
