Rather than being sharp or aggressively smoky, many incense perfumes walk a line: they feel rich and spiritual, with a hint of sweetness and warmth, and sometimes a soft powdery texture.

Incense often blends with:
• Woods (sandalwood, cedar, agarwood/oud) to provide depth.
• Resins and balsams (amber, benzoin, labdanum) to add warmth and sweet richness.
• Spices (black pepper, clove, cardamom) for edge and character.
• Sometimes vanilla or soft musks to smooth out harshness, or subtle florals that add texture without overwhelming the resin.

Scent Evolution and Experience
On first spray, there might be a lighter resin or herbal note — frankincense or something similarly clean, maybe even citrus or herb lightness if blended. Then, as it settles, incense becomes more prominent: deeper, warmer, more enveloping. The smoke or resin note becomes more visible, combined with woods and possibly a sweet or balsamic edge.
