Note Structure

  • Top Notes: Bergamot — bright citrus lift that sets the stage.

  • Heart Notes: Geranium, Rose de Mai, Neroli, Jasmin de Grasse, Heliotrope — soft florals and a powdery, slightly cherry?like touch from heliotrope.

  • Base Notes: Cardamom, Ginger, Pepper, Patchouli, Cognac, Tobacco, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Vanilla, Ambergris — these bring richness, warmth, spice, and a smoky boozy finish.

Evolution and Experience
Enigma opens with citrus (bergamot) that sparkles, giving an initial brightness. Quickly, florals like geranium, rose de Mai, neroli, and jasmine emerge, mingled with the powdery sweetness of heliotrope — this middle phase softens the opening and introduces complexity. As it settles, the boozy hints of cognac and the sweet, creamy vanilla come forward, intertwined with tobacco and rich woods. Spices like cardamom, ginger, and pepper add character and slight heat. The dry?down is warm, resinous and deeply sweet, with benzoin and ambergris helping it linger.

Longevity and Projection
Longevity is very good — many wearers report it lasts several hours, well into the evening.  Projection is strong in the opening (you’ll get noticeable sillage), then it becomes more intimate but still well present as it dries down.

Best Use / Occasions
Enigma is best suited for colder weather — fall and winter — or for evenings and special occasions. It works well in formal or upscale settings, like dinners, nights out, or events. Less ideal when you want something light or for hot daytime because of its richness.
