Essence and Concept
Ombré Leather (2018) by Tom Ford is designed to evoke the spirit of the American West—arid landscapes, suede jackets, sun?warmed leather. It’s not snarlingly harsh leather, but rather a tactile, sensuous leather that’s softened by floral and woody complements. The idea is strength and elegance in one scent—powerful but polished.

Note Structure

Top notes: Cardamom — spicy, aromatic opening giving warmth and interest.
Heart (middle): Jasmine Sambac, Leather — the leather is the core, lush and supple, and jasmine adds a soft floral contrast. 
Base notes: Patchouli, Moss, Amber — woods and ambers add depth, moss gives a little green earthiness, amber warms and rounds off the dry?down.

Evolution and Experience
Right after spraying, you're greeted by a spiced?up cardamom note that draws you in. Very quickly, the leather arrives: smooth, deep, somewhat dry but inviting. Jasmine softly peeks through, transforming the leather—less harsh, more refined. As things settle, woods and amber emerge, warming up the whole scent, adding texture and a mellow richness. Moss underpins the base with a faint green, earthy echo. Over time the scent becomes more intimate but never loses its leathery essence.

Longevity and Projection
Good to strong longevity. It tends to last many hours—often well into the evening. Projection is noticeable, especially in the early phases, and it leaves a decent sillage before softening closer to the skin on the later hours.

Best Use / Occasions
Best suited for fall and winter, or cooler evenings. Perfect for nights out, formal events, or when you want something with presence and sophistication. May be a bit much for very hot or casual daytime, depending on your preference for leather.
