Essence and Concept
Angel’s Share (2020) is part of Kilian’s The Liquors collection, inspired by the heritage of the Hennessy cognac?making family. The idea is to capture the spirit and atmosphere of fine cognac aging in oak barrels — the invisible part “evaporated” known as the “angel’s share.” This fragrance uses cognac oil, oak, vanilla, and spices to evoke opulence, warmth, and a sumptuous, decadent aura.

Note Structure

Top notes: Cognac — rich, boozy, slightly fruity and warm. 
Heart (middle): Oak absolute, Cinnamon, Tonka Bean — adds warmth, spicy sweetness, and woody depth. 
Base notes: Praline, Vanilla, Sandalwood — creamy, gourmand sweetness balanced by smooth woods and dessert?like finish.

Evolution and Experience
Upon spraying, Angel’s Share greets with a strong, rich cognac note that feels boozy and luxurious. Cinnamon and oak soon emerge, introducing warmth and structure beneath the alcohol?sweet top. As time passes, the fragrance mellows into a creamy, velvety base of vanilla and praline, with sandalwood grounding the sweetness and adding a woody elegance. The development is fairly linear after the opening, but the richness intensifies and softens in turn.
