Essence and Concept
Burberry Hero (launched in 2021?22, nose: Aurélien Guichard) aims to embody a mature, introspective kind of heroism—strength paired with sensitivity. It combines natural wood tones with resins and smoky balsamic nuances to evoke rugged landscapes, quiet confidence, and timeless elegance.

Note Structure

Top notes: Pine needles, Olibanum (incense) — adds a fresh?coniferous edge with smoky?sacred overtones. 
Heart (middle): Benzoin, Incense — creamy, resinous sweetness and smoky warmth deepen the aroma. 
Base notes: Cedarwood trio (Atlas, Himalayan, Virginia) — woody, dry, warm foundation; rich cedar tones provide the backbone.

Evolution and Experience
At first spray, Hero hits with a crisp rush of pine?needle freshness mixed with smoky incense, immediately giving a forested, outdoorsy vibe. As it settles, the benzoin adds resinous sweetness, balancing the crisp and smoky with warmth. Over time, the cedar woods become more prominent, creating a smooth, rich dry?down that lingers. The evolution is from fresh and cool, to richly warm and woods?dominated.

Longevity and Projection
Good to strong. The fragrance lasts many hours—often well into the evening. Projection is noticeable especially in earlier phases; it mellows but retains a strong presence on clothes and skin as time passes.

Best Use / Occasions
Best for fall, winter, or cool spring evenings. Works well for evening outings, formal or semi?formal events, or anytime you want to feel grounded yet stylish. Too much might feel heavy in very hot, humid weather.
