Launch and Creator
It was released in 2004 by Chanel; the nose behind it is Jacques Polge. -
Fragrance Family and Style
Woody?spicy / citrus aromatic. Meant to feel active, fresh, youthful, but with a refined, Chanel polish. -
Note Structure
-
Top notes: mandarin, orange, sea?(aquatic) note, aldehydes — bright, fresh, crisp, with that aquatic “breeze” feel.
-
Heart (middle): pepper, neroli, cedar — a spicy, slightly floral / aromatic core that bridges the fresh top to the deeper base.
-
Base notes: tonka bean, vanilla, white musk, amber, vetiver, elemi resin — creams, woods, resinous, smooth, warm finish.

Scent Evolution and Feel
Opens with a burst of citrus + fresh sea air + aldehydes ? zesty, clean, bright. After a while the spice (pepper), the floral/aromatic neroli and wood (cedar) come in, giving structure and contrast. Finally, warm base emerges: creamy vanilla and tonka, musky woods and a bit of resin/vetiver to give weight. The dry?down is soft, warm, and sensual but still clean. -
Longevity and Projection
Projection is strong in the opening (the fresh citrus / aquatic + aldehydes stage). Over time it settles closer to skin as the base comes forward. Longevity is moderate — good for several hours; not ultra?long but serviceable for casual, daily wear. -
Best Use / When It Shines
Excellent for spring, summer, daytime, outdoor, sporty or casual settings. Can also work in semi?formal situations if you want a fresher, lighter fragrance. Not ideal as a heavy winter night scent, but great when you want to smell clean and lively. -
Character and Vibe
Energetic, clean, sporty but not cheap. It gives off a feeling of freshness + masculinity + comfort. Less brute force, more polished activity. Someone wearing it smells like they care about being neat, fresh, and still relaxed. Not overly loud, but it leaves a pleasant impression.
